Solution
Go to the top of the mountain between Shifty Shafts and Salty Springs. The mountain is easly to recognize as it has a small circle of three pine trees on the top. The Battlestar is on the ground at the center of those trees.
Collect the Battlestar.
Map
"X" marks the spot where you can find the Battlestar.
It is just east of Shifty Shafts, across the river, and on the top of the hill there.
