Personal Bards are a new feature in Skyrim: Hearthfire.[1] Hire a personal bard to entertain you and your family in your home.
Adopting a child
Talk to an orphan and tell him/her that you can adopt him/her if you want.
Child will move into your home. You can play games with adopted children, and allow them to have pets.
