Geralt looking at Yennefer as she passes through a portal from here bedchamber. She is headed for Skellige

As a sorceress, Yennefer can use portals to travel in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

During the quest Imperial Audience, Yennefer offers Geralt to teleport him to Velen

Geralt refuses, since he does not like portals and prefers riding his horse, Roach.

Yennefer says goodbye to Geralt and opens a portal which she uses to teleport away from the palace (probably to one of the seaports, see "Trivia" section below)

Dialog[edit]

Yennefer: Why don't I teleport you to Velen, get you there at once?

Geralt: Not gonna happen. I'll go on horseback. Soon as I can get changed.

Yennefer: Have it your way. Oh... and you really look quite dashing in black velvet.

Geralt: Think so? Maybe I can have some of my armor lined with it. Hm. Good luck, Yen.

Yennefer: Same to you. And if you wish to learn what's happened in the world while you and Vesemir roamed the Wilderness, talk to Ambassador var Attre. That's him, over there. And Geralt, I know it's wartime, but try not to be a hero, all right? Just check those leads and come back to me, in one piece. I shall be waiting.

Trivia[edit]

  • While it seems that the portal Yennefer is going through in the quest Imperial Audience leads to Skeillge (since that's where she said she was heading), it's more likely that the portal leads to one of the nearby ports from which Yennefer will take a boat to Skellige. One can infer this since earlier in the conversation Yennefer mentions that she will "sail" to Skellige. So it is likely that her portals have a limited range and she cannot teleport far over the ocean to reach Skellige.
