Walkthrough

Be mindful approaching this cave. There is a Blupee just outside to help mark it. However, this is also a nearby group of monsters: Bokoblins (likely 2 are armored) and a Moblin. Defeat them if you don’t want to sneak. Otherwise, keep wide of them and slip inside the mouth of the cave.

Inside, head forward and be mindful of the fact its extremely hot (bombs will IMMEDIATELY explode when pulled out). There’s a Silver Horriblin along the entrance ceiling, so you’re immediately in for a fight. Defeat them and head forward to the lava river.

Throughout this cave, you can find Ore Deposits and Rare Ore Deposits scattered about. There’s a small chance for Fire-Proof Lizards as well.

There’s a chest on the opposite side. Use either an Ice or Splash Fruit to create a rock platform and use that to get across quickly. Open the chest to find a Ruby inside.

With that done, turn to the North. You’ll see that rocks are regularly appearing now on the lava flow. Use these to head to the North and back across the Lava to reach the Northern portions.

On the Northeastern shore, head to the North, toward where the rocks are coming from. There’s a bridge across the lava, so use it to cross over to the Western side.

While traveling here, look to the Eastern side. You’ll see a hole in the wall. Go over to it and head inside it. It’s in here that you’ll find the Bubbulfrog. Defeat it to claim the Bubbul Gem that it holds. Go back to the main chamber.

You’ll see a veil of lava flowing downward, obscuring part of the cave. Just beyond that is a Fire-Like. You can close the distance by getting across the lava flow carefully. The best way to fight is Fire-Like is to use Splash Fruit and Ice Fruit to lock it up. Defeat it, and it’ll drop a Fire-Like Stone, Fire Fruit, and a chest with a reward inside.

Next, hop onto one of the rocks on the lava flow. Ride it into the chamber adjacent to where you fought the Fire-Like. Jump off the rock and go onto the Eastern shore. Climb on up the slope and into the opening in the middle of the wall. This will lead you to the Misko’s Shrine and its chest. Open it to find the Ember Shirt sitting inside.

Opening that chest will cause a doorway to open to the North. Go through the doorway and over to the stone in the middle of the room. Read it to begin: Misko’s Treasure of Awakening 1.

There’s a broken archway over the lava. Use can use the walls for height to glide over to it or use Ascend to launch yourself upward through the archway. Inside the chest is Fire-Breath Lizal Blade.
