Explore Zelda’s Secret Well in Hateno Village to find her diary and learn about this tunic. Travel to Hyrule Castle after that. Light the Torches within the Sanctum to reveal a hidden chest the Champion’s Leathers within it.

Walkthrough

Read Zelda’s Diary

Go behind Zelda’s House in Hateno Village to find the Well. Slip down into it with the ladder. Turn to the right and head over to the desk there. Interact with the book on the desk. You’ll learn that Zelda commissioned a new Champion’s Tunic. She explains that “The Torches are the Key.”

• To the left is a Chest that contains Well-Worn Hair Band. It doesn’t give any benefits, but it’s part of the collection.

Travel to Hyrule Castle

The best way to travel your travel here is to head over to Lookout Landing. Once there, use the Skyview Tower to travel toward Hyrule Castle. It helps to have Vow of Tulin to speed up some of your travel.

Reach the Sanctum

Dropping in from the Lookout Landing Skyview Tower, you can easily glide over to the entrance of Hyrule Castle itself.

Light the Torches

Inside the Sanctum, there are a number of Torches that need to be lit. Start by heading up either side of the spiral staircase leading up to the throne. There are 2 Torches nearby the base of the throne’s dais. Light each of the torches with something that generates fire.

• Fire Fruit, or Rubies attached to Weapons make this simple

When both torches are lit, the statue behind the throne (and the throne) will move. This reveals a hidden chest. Open the chest to find the Champion’s Leathers inside it.
