Talk to Toffa

Toffa minding the horses

At the Outskirt Stables, you will want to head to the Northern side of the Stables. There, you will find the Stable Guard: Toffa. Approach and talk with him. He’ll explain a bit about the stable, but also allude to a horse he’s heard about and wants to see: the Stalhorse.

Toffa explains where to find the Stalhorse

He explains that he’s heard you can find these Skeletal Horses to the North in the Sanidin Park Ruins. Apparently they appear night after night there.

Travel to Sanidin Park Ruins

Go to the Stable master and get your own horse, start running there on foot, or using a Zonai Vehicle to cover the distance. It’s a distance to cover on foot or on horse.

Once you make it there, you will want to look for the Horse Statue. Once there, you will want to advance time to Night (or just arrive here after nightfall).

When it’s Nighttime, look to the Western side of the Ruins. On the slope, you will be able to spot the Stalhorse there.

Bring the Stalhorse to Toffa

Riding the Stalhorse back to the Outskirt Stable

With the Stalhorse mounted and calmed, you need to head back to the Outskirt Stable.

Once you make it back to the stable, target Toffa and talk with him. He’ll be surprised at the Stalhorse. He talks with it.

Toffa wants to see Link come in on something other than a Horse

After that, Toffa talks about how he used to tame wild animals as a child. He tells Link he’d love to see someone come in on something OTHER than a horse.

Tame a Wild Animal

This one is harder to do because the Wild Animals are much more on edge than the Stalhorse. Thankfully, there’s a somewhat easy to do this part. Head to the small copse of trees to the Northeast of the Stable.

Climb up and sneak into the forest. You’re very likely to find some deer here. Once you spot one, SAVE YOUR GAME!

Sneak carefully up on them and quickly mount one. Immediately begin soothing to calm them so Link doesn’t get bucked off.

Very important: DO NOT DISMOUNT! As soon as Link dismounts from an animal other than a horse, it will run away.

Bring the Animal back to Toffa

Ride your “tamed” animal back to the Outskirt Stable. Approach and talk with Toffa once again. He’ll be surprised at your skill. He’ll reward Link with a Silver Rupee as well as 1 more Pony Point.

Rewards

  • Purple Rupee: 50 rupees
  • 1 Pony Point
  • Silver Rupee: 100 rupees
