Getting into Skull Lake Cave
Getting in this cave takes some doing. Climbing the tall stone pillar to get in isn’t recommended because of the high stamina cost. It’s generally going to be better to glide over from a nearby cliffsides. Or you can use your Zonai Devices to get up to the top opening of the cave.
Throughout the cave, you will be able to find Brightcap, and (Giant) Brightbloom Seeds. There are Ore Deposits scattered along the walls of the tunnels within.
When you get down into the cave itself, you will splash down in to a pool of water. Swim over to the South and out of the water. Expect to encounter some Stalbokoblins on this first slope.
Going forward, the path will drop off into a pit. In this pit are some more Stalbokoblins. You can make things easy by getting the Stalbokoblins to assemble and then blow them up with Bomb Flowers.
Get past the pit and climb out the far side of it. Just head, a little to the left, you’ll find a breakable section of wall.
Smash on through it. On the other side you’ll find a pair of Stalbokoblin and a Stalmoblin. Defeat them to clear this chamber. Be careful as you explore past here, there is a Stalnox patrolling in the Southern portion of this chamber.

Taking on the Stalnox is a challenge. Its sole eye is its weakness. Each time its health bar is depleted (with the Stalnox taking more damage when you strike its eye), the Stalnox will break apart. While its broken, you can attack the Eye directly. When the Eye’s HP reaches zero, then the Stalnox will be defeated.
Once you clear this large chamber, take time to explore it. Going around the walls of the chamber, you can find Ore and Rare Ore Deposits.

Head to the Northern wall of the chamber. There’s a massive breakable wall of Blue Stone. Break through these stones to find another chamber. On the far side, in the connected chamber, is the Bubbulfrog.

Otherwise, head to the Southern portion of the large chamber. You’ll see a tall stump with a Misko Shrine. Climb up the Northern face to easily reach the front of the Shrine. Open the chest there to claim the Fierce Deity Mask.
Fierce Deity Mask

“Legend says this mask was once worn by a hero from a world in which the moon threatened to fall. It looks scary but wearing it offers fierce, godly power.”
