Mega Man X Regenesis - Hadoken Guide

Unlock the Hadoken in Mega Man X Regenesis by collecting all 8 Heart Tanks, 4 Sub-Tanks, 8 Armor Upgrades, and 160 Upgrade Chips, then completing the Sigma Stage 1 circuit.

Walkthrough

Set-up

This upgrade can be obtained in Sigma Stage 1. You will be running a circuit 5 times, 4 to activate and 1 to claim the Hadoken. You will have 40 Upgrade Chips available. Be sure that your 4 Subtanks are full. Launch into Sigma Stage 1.

Don’t worry about taking damage navigating the stage, you just need to reach the location.

Reaching the Secret Platform

When the stage starts, begin by going to the right. Jump the gap, being mindful of the 2 Tomborts (1 on the ground and 1 flying). Jump over the rock in front of you and keep going to the right.

As you do, there’s a Reploid Soldier just below the rock. You will need to deal with the Victoroid that’s on the next rise in front of you. Get past it, jumping the next gap and heading to the right. Avoid the next Reploid Soldier and jump the small container.

This will bring you to the (slowly) collapsing platform. There’s another Tombort that’s likely flying toward you here. Dash over to the right-hand wall. Get on the wall and climb upwards.

Jump over to the left when you can. You will need to content with a pair of Jammingers that swoop in. Go to the left and jump onto the dark green hovering wall. Jump from there onto the next rock platform and immediately head to the and onto the next hovering wall to the left.

Here is where the path diverges from the normal one through the stage. On this Hovering Platform with the large wall to its right (and likely a Jamminger swooping in), you want to climb up to the next rock platform with a Victoroid. Either damage boost through it or destroy and keep going to the left. Antoher Jamminger will swoop in, and the next rock platform has another Victoroid.

Now, you can reach the platform you need to, with a blind jump. For safely, jump onto the narrow green hovering platform and let it rise to its apex. Dash Jump to the left from there. This will easily let you reach the hidden platform.

That’s the circuit you will need to complete 5 times.

When you get there the 5^th time, you will finally see a Capsule. Approach it to hear from Dr. Cain 1 more time. He bids X to enter the capsule. When X emerges, he will be able to use the Hadoken. You will also see the Gold fins on his helmet have become red.
