Once you reach a skill level of 70 or higher, you will be able to talk with the Advanced Trainers to learn about the location of the Master Trainer.

Advanced Trainers

Abhuki

Abhuki is a Khajiit that can be found at the Faregyl Inn South of the Imperial City. He runs the Inn and offers his training services there. He sleeps behind the counter, so he can always be found there.

Athragar

Athragar is a Bosmer Nightblade that is an Evoker within the Mages Guild. He can be found within the Chorrol Mages Guildhall.

Athragar spends 6am to 12pm wandering the Guildhall. From 12pm to 4 pm, he can be found reading on the ground floor. He will then move to the second floor library and read there until 6pm. There’s a small chance he’ll be on the ground floor behind the counter at this time practicing a spell. 6pm to 10pm he’ll be wandering around the guildhall. 10pm to 6 am, he’ll be in bed, asleep.

The Master Trainer

Talking with either Abhuki or Athragar, you will be directed to find the Argonian, Tooth-in-the-Sea. He can be found to the North of Bravil. Tooth-in-the-Sea has a camp set up just to the East of the Flooded Mine.

Preparation

For this quest, you will need to be underwater for a prolonged period of time. To this end, you will want to have equipment or sleeps that grant you Waterbreathing.

Equipment

• Fin Gleam – Found underwater among a pile of bones on the West coast of the island west of Anvil
• Helm of the Deep Delver – Purchase from Tertullian Verus at Three Brothers Trade Goods in the Imperial Market District
• Jewel of the Rumare – Reward for completing “Go Fish”
• Nistor’s Boots – Purchase from Elsynia at Best Goods in Leyawiin
• Have Equipment that grants waterbreathing

Magic

• Buoyancy – Completed Cheydinahl Recommendation (or spoken with Deetsan for the Well Key)
• Purchase waterbreathing spell – Trayvond the Redguard in the Cheydinhal Mages Guild; ungarion at A Warlock’s Luck in Bravil; Edgar Vautrin at Edgar’s Discount Spells within the Market District of the Imperial City.
• Custom Spell that grants Water Breathing

Potions

• Create Waterbreathing Potions by combining 2 potions that grant the waterbreathing effect.
• Potion of the Sea – Purchased from Ogier Georick, the Main Ingredient in the Imperial City; Sigrid, Refugee Camp outside Kvatch; Falanu Hlaalu, All Things Alchemical in Skingrad; Sinderloid, West Weald Inn in Skingrad.

Find Tooth-in-the-Sea

He can be found to the North of Bravil. Tooth-in-the-Sea has a camp set up just to the East of the Flooded Mine.

He will only offer the challenge before 1pm and while he is swimming in the bay. Otherwise, you will need to wait a bit more.

Underwater Trials

• If the Hero is Argonian, Tooth-in-the-Sea will immediately pass you.

Tooth-in-the-Sea has a “simple” test. You must stay underwater nearby him for 3 hours (6 minutes real time). You will need to aware of any drift that happens while you are floating nearby him because of currents.

If you’re using Magic or Potions to sustain yourself underwater, you will need to watch your effect timer.

Using Equipment makes this very simple to pull off since they just work. No maintenance required.

Completion

When 3 hours have passed, Tooth-in-the-Sea will approach the Hero. He will accept them as a student. You now have access to him as a Master level Trainer.
