Oblivion Remastered: Bloodcrust Cavern Guide

Explore the vampire-infested Bloodcrust cavern. Claim the treasures within and purge the vampires guarding it. Part of a Mages Guild Quest.

This is a cavern found just Southeast of Castle Skingrad. It is part of the Mages Guild Quest: “Information at a Price.” While it can be explored and cleared prior to the quest, the number of vampires changes.

Nothing changes the layout of the cavern given below. There are only 5 regular Vampires within the cavern.

Exploration During “Information at a Price”

There are a total of 10 Bloodcrust Vampires that you will need to find and kill within the Cavern. They are on the same power level as a Vampire Patriarch/Matriarch. They don’t have any chance of carrying potions, but can have enchanted weapons and armor.

Walkthrough

The guide is written off the Vampires during “Information at a Price.”

Once inside the cavern, you will want to head down the slope into the first chamber. While there are 2 paths, you will want to head to the right (North). In this first chamber, there is at least 1 Bloodcrust Vampire.

Head down the slope after that to the next chamber. There are 3 Bloodcrust Vampires in here to defeat. 1 patrols the main part of the chamber while the other 2 are just around the corner on their patrol.

Go into the corridor that the pair was guarding. You’ll pass a table. Head forward along the corridor. Toward the exit of the corridor, you’ll see another pair of Bloodcrust Vampires.

This leads to another large chamber with another Bloodcrust Vampires. Search around the chamber to find them. Head out of it the South.

Follow the slope upwards and around the corner to the left. In the next chamber, go over to the right in the chamber. You’ll find a bed and a Chest just next to it.

Turn to the North and follow the passage to the East around the corner. The next opening leads to a smaller chamber with 2 Bloodcrust Vampires.

Continue to the East and into the smaller chamber off the main path. Search it to find some chests, a Pumpkin, and other useful supplies.

Turn to the North after that to return to the entrance chamber. Head on out of the Cavern after that.
