Walkthrough

Accept the Contract from Ocheeva – The Assassin’s Gambit

Head down into the Cheydinhal Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary and find Ocheeva. You are being sent after Adamus Philida. This man has caused a lot of trouble for the Dark Brotherhood. He has now retired and its time to take advantage of the more “lax” guard around him. You need to head to Leyawiin.

The Black Hand has sanctioned using the Rose of Sithis. This arrow will kill its target regardless of where it hits. But the Arrow will only eliminate its target and will not pierce armor.

She explains that you will get a bonus if you loot his body for his (finger and) Signet Ring. You then need to take this finger and ring to the desk of Philida’s successor.

Eliminate Adamus Philida

It’s time to eliminate Adamus Philida. You will need to use his schedule to find a time to eliminate him.

Adamus Philida’s Schedule

2am-6am – Sleeps in Leyawiin Barracks
6am-9am – Breakfast at the Three Sisters’ Inn
9am-1pm – Wanders Coastguard station
1pm-8pm – Daily Swim (Starts swimming at 3pm) in the pond nearby the Leyawiin Castle
8pm-9pm – Wandering the pond area
9pm-2am – Eating and Wandering in the Leyawiin Watch Barracks

There are plenty of chances but a window each day is open to use the Rose of Sithis. You need to wait until 3pm and have an eye on the pond nearby Leyawiin Castle. While Philida is swimming, be off to the side and out of the way. Track him then hit him with the Rose of Sithis from a bow. Or just use your weapon of choice for a one-hit kill.

An easy place to get the shot is between Ahdarji’s House and Weebam-Na’s House. This has the most cover overall.

Once you hit Adamus Philida with the Rose of Sithis, it’s time to claim his finger and signet ring. Swim out to the body and quickly grab it off him. Be sure to grab the various keys as well. Those keys will make the next part much easier. Swim away and then it’s time to head out to the Imperial City Prison.

Plant the Signet Ring

Entering the Imperial City Prison District

Inside the Imperial City, you will need to make your way into the Prison District. Wait until after midnight to ensure you’ll be undisturbed.

Once inside the Prison district itself, go to the back area, beyond the gates. Head over to the Western most house. This should be the Imperial Legion Office.

Inside the Imperial Legion Office, it’s time to plant the finger. Just head for the desk directly in front of you. Interact with it and transfer the finger from your inventory into the desk.

You should take a moment to go to the left of the desk. Here, you can find the Legion Commander’s Chest. It can have good items inside it, so open it up. After that, slip back outside. It’s time to return to the Brotherhood.
