Summary

You are dispatched to assassinate the Nord Havilstein Hoar-Blood. He resides on Gnoll Mountain nearby Bruma. Eliminate him and go to collect your next dead drop contract in the Ayleid Ruins Nornal.

Walkthrough

Get the Contract

Make your way into the Market District of the Imperial City. From the Fast Travel Point, head up the stairs to the crossroad. Turn to the right and go past the door on the left. Go through the first archway on the left. When you enter the garden, immediately turn to the right. Look in the corner to find the hollowed out stump. Open this to find the payment for your previous contract as well as this contract.

Reach Gnoll Mountain

You need to travel to Gnoll Mountain to eliminate Havilstein Hoar-Blood who resides there. Travel out to Bruma, if you haven’t unlocked Frostcrag Spire, and exit that to the East.

• If you’ve unlocked Frostcrag Spire, it’s just a short journey to the Northwest.
• Alternatively, you can travel to Namira’s Shrine (if available) for a short trip to the Northeast

From Bruma, you will need to climb up into the Jerall Mountains from the Wildeye Stables. Go East to reach Dragonclaw Rock. Go right when you reach here. There’s a Bandit camp on your path so be ready for it.

Eliminate Havilstein Hoar-Blood

Getting to your destination, you will find that Havilstein Hoar-Blood has some help, a wolf companion Redmaw. He does not eat, so reverse pickpocketing Poisoned Apples onto him won’t work.

Daily Schedule:

• 12am-6am – Sleeps in tent
• 6am-12pm – Sits by the fire
• 12pm-6pm – Wanders camp
• 6pm-9pm – Sits by the fire
• 9pm-12am – Patrols camp

Be sure to loot his body. He will almost always have a nearly complete set of Fur Armor as well as 2 Battleaxes. 1 Level appropriate and 1 Enchanted.

Collect Your Reward and Next Contract

Now it’s time to head for the Ayleid Ruins: Nornal. This is to the East of the Imperial City, nearby Arkved’s Tower or Fort Sejanus. Either will make for a short trek to the Ruins.

Once you make it there, you will want to head inside. Inside, you will need to going down the stairs. Follow them to the right and through to the next set of stairs. At the bottom of these stairs, turn to the right. Here, you’ll see a flood room. Dive in with a waterbreathing spell or enchantment to make things simple.

Once underwater, swim forward to the Locked Door (Average). If you need help with the door, there is a Rusty Key off to the side of the room. It’s just a little to the right of the door. Open the door and head on through either way. Swim forward and open the floating wooden chest in front of you. It contains your next contract as well as payment for this one. This brings you to the next contract: "A Kiss Before Dying."
