A guide to the Dzonot Cave found nearby the Imperial City.

Location

This cave is found along the western lakeshore of Lake Rumore, none too far from the bridge across into the Imperial City itself.

Walkthrough

Dzonot Cave

Once you enter this cave, there will be a bit to do. Sneak down the slope carefully because there is a tripwire trap a short distance from the first torch you can see. Going through it will have a massive log swing down and slam into your back (if you’re not running).

Continue forward and up the slope into the first chamber. There are a few odd barrels and sacks to loot here. Maybe a patrolling Bandit, but unlikely. Turn into the Southwest area after that to continue your exploration into the next chamber.

In this larger chamber, you can see the odd bandit or two. Sneak up and deal with them as you will. Look to the Southwestern corner, the left-hand side of the arch into the corridor to find a Chest to loot. Head on through the archway and into the corridor after that.

Getting to the top of the next upslope, you can see a Locked Chest (Average) where it levels out. Unfortunately, there are likely a few Bandits nearby so be on guard against them. Turn to the North and get into the massive room attached.

This is the large chamber of the cave with a ravine in the middle of the room. You can expect a few bandits scattered around here. There are a number of crates and sacks scattered around the room you can look into for loot. Continue to the Northeast to find a small campsite that’s been set-up. Nearby that, to the East, is a tunnel upwards.

Taking the tunnel upwards you will find a short corridor that leads to the next section, the Main Cavern.

If you drop into the ravine, there isn't much to find. It loops back to the main large chamber with access to the Main Cavern.

Dzonot Main Cavern

Inside the Main Cavern, be sure you’re sneaking to avoid immediately drawing the attention of the Bandits within. That isn’t always a bad thing. There is another campsite here. Along the Northwestern side of this campsite you can find a chest to loot.

Head to the West and South to find more Bandits. Along the floor nearby the Southern wall is a pit with a Chest inside it. You can find the Bandit leader along the Southwestern area of this chamber. Continue to the Southeastern corner to find a Locked Chest (Average) to open. Just to the right of it is another chest against the wall that can easily be opened.
