Fort Cuptor is found in Nibenay Basin, far to the East of Bravil. It is filled with Necromancers and their undead minions.

Exterior

If you can climb up onto the Northeastern balcony of the Fort, there is a chest you can loot. If you look just outside the Northern wall of where the entrance is (down by the water). There are a few animals around that can attack so stay somewhat on guard while outside.

Fort Cuptor

Inside the fort, start by heading down the stairs to deal with the enemy there. This is likely some form of Undead. Expect to encounter quite a few more of those. You’ll see a set of stairs to the South of the ones you entered from. These are a set that lead into the Battlemains, but ignore it for now. Just head down the corridor to the South. Take the stairs ahead of you down to the T-intersection.

Getting to the intersection, go to the right. There’s likely another Undead at a small campsite there. Quickly dispatch it. If you look at the Southwestern table you can find some interesting things: an Apprentice Alembic a Common Soul Gem, the one instance of Children’s Clothing, and a very small coffin with a very small skeleton. You can also find the book “A Child’s Anuad” next to the coffin.

Just behind all that, against the Western wall is a pull level. You want to go and interact with the lever. Look to the East and you’ll see the gate that would have blocked your progress rise up out of your way.

Go to the East and through the newly opened gateway. This leads to a much later chamber with a necromancer inside it. On either side of the statue is a table with a zombie corpse on it. Head to the East and take the stairs on up.

Expect another Necromancer at the top of the stairs as well. Pick them off and then turn to the Southern wall. Nearby the top of the stairs is a Chest you can loot. Continue to the East down the hallway.

When you reach the corner, you can take a moment. Look to the Eastern alcove to find a Coffin you can loot. Otherwise, turn around. It’s time to head back to the entrance hallway.

From the entrance hallway, turn to the North and take the stairs on down. Open the Old Wooden Door there to get into another room. Take the stairs up where there are more Necromancers waiting for you. This one is patrolling around with an Undead. You can head to either side of this staircase to find a Coffin you can loot.

Before you leave this part, going down the next small alcove, look to the Northwest from the stairs to find a Locked Chest (Average). This alcove has 2 coffins to the East, and West. A water trough sits empty with a sack in it along the Northern side of the room.

With all that done, it’s time to head down to the next level. Return to the stairwell next to the entrance way. Take it down and head into the Fort Cuptor Battlemains.

Fort Cuptor Battlemains

This second level of the fort has overlapping sections. This makes it harder to track where things are on just the map alone. The most important thing to find in here is the Mysticism Skill Book: Souls, Black and White.

Additionally, there are numerous pits that drop you down onto spike traps sitting on the floor, so be mindful of where you’re going. These pits have bars over them, but they’re weak and will usually break when you step onto them.

Once through the door South of the main entrance, you’ll be in the Battlemains. Take the stairs down and over to the right. Be on guard for the Necromancer nearby, patrolling the connected corridor. Deal with them and turn to the East carefully. One of the aforementioned pits is just ahead in the middle of the corridor.

Just past the grate in the floor, look to the left (North). You’ll find doors you can open. Through there, another Necromancer accompanied by an Undead. Go across the room to the other to find another Undead patrolling the opposite corridor.

Turn to the East after that and head down the corridor. Turn to the North at the end of the cooridor and be mindful of the grate. Just past the grate you can see some candles on the ground. Nearby them you can find a Chest guarded by a Patrolling Undead. Continue to the North after that.

Take the stairs down and through the next doorway. Be on guard for more Undead moving around the area. However, a gate will slam down as you approach the doorway.

You can go back up the stairs and look to the floor. There’s another grate there that you can cause to fall with some careful maneuvering. But that’s just to reveal its nature as a trap. Otherwise, head to the West along the hallway to the Northwestern corner of the area. Open the door there and head through.

Look to the Top of the stairs through the door to spot a Necromancer who’s likely standing there. Pick him off or deal with him. Take the stairs on up.

Look to the East for another Undead to deal with. There is a lootable Coffins to the East. A chest sits just on the left-hand side of the archway at the top of the stairs. Going to the Western side you’ll find a bed with a Chest at the foot of it. Look to the table at the head of the bed. You can find a few Soul Gems, a gem, and the Skill Book: Souls, Black and White. Be sure to read this book, if not grab it. Head to the North after that.

This leads to just a small room with a chest right in front of an altar. Loot the chest. You can find a few undead components on the altar. There’s a Water Trough along the Northern side that has a Sack inside it you can loot. That’s everything along the upper level.

To get the lower area, you will need to drop through any of the numerous grates. Drop down the grate just in front of the final room. Head East to find a slowly patrolling Undead there. Continue in that direction to find another Undead. Head to the North when you have the chance. This leads to a small shelf with a Coffin on it. Turn East after that. More Undead await there. Continue along this path to find stairs leading upwards.

Take the stairs on up and around the corners to arrive at the Gate that came down in front of you earlier. Turn around and take the stairs back down. Get back to that coffin you examined earlier and turn to the South at it. Head down the corridor past where you dropped in. Look to the East to find 2 more Undead patrolling nearby. Quickly take them down. Follow the path around the corner East and South.

Stay on the path as it twists through numerous corners. There will be a split, so stay straaight, going to the West. Take down the Undead beyond the next wall. Follow this path straight and to the West. Take the stairs up to the West. This leads to a small alcove with a Pull Lever. Activate the lever and the gate blocking access out of this watery labyrinth will rise. Weave your way back through and then you’re free to exit the dungeon having found everything.

This is easily down by turning around, taking the stairs down and turning to the Left. Continue until you hit an intersection with a grate above it. Go to the left and you’ll reach a shelf with a coffin on it. Turn to the right facing the coffin (going East). Just take the stairs up after that.

Once out of there, turn to the West and to the large room. Make your way to the West then turn to the Left (South) in the next corridor. Jump over the grate then look to the lit corridor in front of you to the West. Nearby there is the door out.

Leaving the dungeon is simple. Head forward and turn to the left. Take the stairs there up to reach the exit.
