This is for the side quest, "Go Fish," found in Weye, just to the West of the Imperial City.

Talk to Aelwin Merowald

In the small town of Weye, to the West of the Imperial City, you can find Aelwin Merowald wandering around the house opposite the Wawnet Inn. Approach and talk with him. He’ll explain that he needs help collecting Slaughterfish Scales to sell to an alchemist. You need to dive into Lake Rumore and collect 12 Slaughtfish Scales for him.

Collect the Rumare Slaughterfish Scales

Head to the North and dive into the water just past the Wawnet Inn. It can help a lot to have Life Detection gear or Spells to find these fish (before they start attacking you).

There are a number of places you can go to fight these Rumare Slaughterfish to get their scales. The good news is the Quest Marker can give you an Approximate Location for a Slaughterfish. Unfortunately this can include some that are stuck in the lake bed. Use the Quest marker to get the basic area of the fish.

It’s best to move between swimming and walking/running to hunt for the Slaughterfish. You will get a LOT of usage out of Life Detection spells to find the Fish. They will be the most common thing in the water during this time.

Return to Aelwin Merowal

Once you collect all 12 Rumare Slaughterfish Scales, you will want to return to Weye and Aelwin Merowal. Talk with him and he’ll be surprised you have all the scales. But he does reward your efforts with a ring: The Jewel of Rumare.
