Once you reach 70 Heavy Armor, you can speak with one of the Advanced Trainers to learn the location of the Master Heavy Armor Trainer.

Summary

Talk to either Varnado or Valus Odiil. They will direct you to Pranal, who can be found at the Roxey Inn, north of the Imperial City.

To unlock Pranal's training, you'll need to help him win the affection of Marlene by delivering a gift consisting of 1 Silver Pitcher and 4 Silver Glasses.

Varnado

Location: The Best Defense, Market District, Imperial City

Varnado is a Redguard smith and co-owner of The Best Defense. He specializes in Heavy Armor equipment and training, although he has a well-known rivalry with his business partner, Maro Rufus.

Daily Schedule

• 12:00am–6:00am: Sleeps in his room above The Best Defense.
• 6:00am–8:00am: Eats breakfast with Maro Rufus.
• 8:00am–8:00pm: Works behind the Heavy Armor counter.
• Morndas–Fredas, 8:00pm–12:00am: Eats dinner at the Feed Bag.
• Loredas–Sundas, 8:00pm–12:00am: Walks along Green Emperor Way.

Valus Odiil

Location: Chorrol

Valus Odiil is a retired Imperial warrior turned farmer. During The Killing Field quest, he seeks help saving his family's farm from goblins.

Before or after completing the quest, he can still provide Advanced Heavy Armor training.

Before Completing The Killing Field

• 12:00am–4:00am: Sleeps at his house in southwestern Chorrol.
• 4:00am–6:00am: Eats breakfast at home.
• 6:00am–8:00pm: Waits at the Grey Mare asking travelers to help his sons.
• 8:00pm–12:00am: Remains at the Grey Mare before returning home.

Regular Schedule

After completing the quest, his weekday routine remains largely unchanged.

Loredas & Sundas

• 12:00am–6:00am: Travels to Odiil Farm and sleeps there.
• 6:00am–8:00am: Travels between the farm and the Grey Mare.
• 8:00am–9:00pm: Works around Odiil Farm.
• 9:00pm–12:00am: Returns to Chorrol.
  • On Sundas, he returns to the farm to sleep.
  • On Morndas, he sleeps in his Chorrol home.

Pranal

Pranal is a retired Redguard warrior staying at the Roxey Inn. He spends his days chatting with the inn's patrons while secretly admiring the innkeeper, Marlene.

Daily Schedule

• 2:00am–9:00am: Sleeping upstairs.
• 9:00am–10:00am: Socializing with guests.
• 10:00am–12:00pm: Breakfast.
• 12:00pm–2:00am: Talking with patrons around the inn.

From Your Secret Admirer

Ask Pranal about Training. He explains that he has retired and that the only thing important to him now is Marlene.

Ask him about Malene (Marlene) to continue the conversation.

He asks you to purchase a gift consisting of:

• 1 Silver Pitcher
• 4 Silver Glasses

He provides 50 gold to help pay for the items.

You can either purchase or steal everything you need.

Buying the Presents

If you want to buy them, you can head to almost any general store and buy them. It’s easy to get it under 50 gold with a good Mercantile. Here are some shop that sell the needed items:

• Lelle's Quality Merchandise (Anvil) — sells a Silver Pitcher and multiple Silver Cups.
• Novaroma (Bruma) — sells up to three Silver Glasses.
• Three Brothers Trade Goods (Imperial City) — sells several Silver Glasses.
• The Copious Coinpurse (Imperial City) — stocks multiple Silver Glasses.
• Northern Goods and Trade (Chorrol) — usually has at least one Silver Glass.

Stealing the Presents

If you want to steal the gift, that can take a little effort. It helps to do this late at night, usually after Midnight. Plan your heist so you can quickly grab everything.

A Silver Pitcher can be found in almost every house. Pick one, slip in and grab it before quietly exiting

Helping Pranal give a Gift

Once you’ve acquired the Silver Glasses and Silver Pitcher, you need to return to the Roxey Inn. Find and talk with Pranal once again. Talk to him about “Gift” to turn everything over. He’ll ask you to turn everything over to Marlene on his behalf (without telling her who the present is from).

Go to Marlene, wo’s commonly just behind the counter and talk to her about “Gift.” This will give her the Pitcher and Glasses. She’ll thank you for them. She will also acknowledge that these were on the behalf of Pranal. She’s very clear that she’s not interested in him romantically.

Go back to Pranal and talk with him about “Gift.” He’ll thank you for your efforts and is happy that she’ll enjoy them. Pranal is now available as a Master Trainer for Heavy Armor!
