Once you reach a skill level of 70 or higher with Illusion magic, you will be able to talk with the Advanced Trainer to learn about the location of the Master Trainer.

Summary

Speak with Carahil at the Anvil Mages Guild or Kud-Ei at the Bravil Mages Guild. Either trainer will direct you to Martina Floria at the Arcane University.

To unlock Master Illusion training, Martina requires you to bring her 10 Welkynd Stones. Once you hand them over, she will become available as a Master Illusion trainer.

Advanced Trainers

Carahil

Carahil is an Altmer Spellsword found at the Anvil Mages Guild. Speaking to Carahil about Training after reaching 70 Illusion will reveal the location of the Master Trainer.

Daily Schedule

• 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM: Reading Biography of Barenziah, v2 behind the entrance desk

Kud-Ei

Although many NPCs claim Kud-Ei is an Advanced Illusion trainer, she does not actually provide Advanced Illusion training. However, if your Illusion skill is at least 70, selecting Training in conversation will still direct you to Martina Floria.

Martina Floria

Martina Floria is found in the Arcane Univesity’s Chironasium. Talk with her about “Training” to learn her requirement to become her student.

Daily Schedule:

• 2pm-8pm – Sleeping in bed on the Second Floor of the Chironasium
• 8pm-2pm – Wandering Chironasium ground floor, offering Illusion Training and Recharging services

Collect the Welkynd Stones

To convince Martina Floria of your determination to get her training, she will set you on a “simple” quest to get her 10 Welkynd Stones. These are very common in the Alyeid Ruins that are across Cyrodiil. Most of the Ruins will have less than 10 inside. It’s very easy to have a stock of 10+ Welkynd Stones from exploring the Ayleid Ruins in Cyrodiil.

Getting all the Welkynd Stones inside a Ruin can be a little tricky since a number of them tend to be on high pedestals and such, out of reach. Here are tricks to get the gems with less hassle:

• You can use the Telekinesis spell to easily grab the gems and pull them off
• High Acrobatics to jump (Fortify Acrobatics 100 will guarantee sufficient height)
• Fire or Shock damage spells doing 3pts of damage with a 10ft area will create an explosion behind the Stone with sufficient force to knock it down.

Turn in the Stones

Once you've gathered 10 Welkynd Stones, return to Martina Floria and hand them over. She'll recognize your dedication and begin offering Master Illusion Training, allowing you to raise your Illusion skill all the way to 100.
