This is a quest that will only trigger when you break one of the tenets of the Mages Guild:

• Steal from the Guild
• Assault a Member of the Mages Guild
• Kill a Member of the Mages Guild

Doing any of those will get you a notice that you are suspended from the Mages Guild (Except if you’re the Arch-Mage).

Walkthrough

Gaining Readmission

To get back into the Mages Guild, you will need to talk with Raminus Polus. He will explain the task you will need to complete to be restored to your former rank within the Mages Guild.

The First Offense

What you will need to do to restore your membership depends on what crime was committed

• It seems the quest is glitched so you only need to collect a total of 20 of either item

If Theft from the Guild:

You will need to collect 20 Dragon’s Tongues and 20 Redwort Flowers.

If Murdering a Guild Member:

You will need to collect 20 Vampire Dust and 20 Daedra Hearts

Dragon’s Tongues

Locations:

• 21 flowers can nearby the entrance of Fort Redwater
• Flowers are scattered South of Bravil
• 6 Flowers found around swamp at the “d” in “Blackwood”
• 14 Flowers can be found just Southwest of the entrance of Fort Irony
• 4 Flowers can be found in the area around the top of the “L” in “Leyawiin.”

Redwort Flowers

Locations:

• 21 Flowers found around swamp at the “d” in “Blackwood”
• 5 Flowers can be found Southeast of Leyawiin’s East Gate, just off the path from where it curves

Vampire Dust

Found in the various Vampire Dungeons:

• Barren Cave
• Beneath the Bloodworks
• Bloodcrust Cavern
• Crowhaven
• Fanacas
• Fort Carmala
• Fort Hastrel
• Fort Naso
• Fort Redman
• Fort Redwater
• Fort Vlastarus
• Gutted Mine
• Jakben’s Imbel’s House

Daedra Hearts

Starting at level 12, Alchemy Stores may randomly stock them.

• Dremora are easiest to find, usually around or inside Oblivion Gates
• Brittlerock Cave and Conjurer Dungeons

The Second Offense

If Theft from the Guild:

You will need to collect 20 Dragon’s Tongues and 20 Redwort Flowers

If Murdering a Guild Member:

You will need to collect 20 Vampire Dust and 20 Daedra Hearts

Permanent Suspension

There are limits to this quest. You can be suspended twice. After that, you will be permanently expelled from the Mages Guild.

If you are the Arch-Mage, you cannot be permanently expelled from the Guild. You will, instead, receive a bounty for the offending action.
