Defeat Graveward is an objective in the Story Mission, Cold as the Grave in Borderlands 3
Walkthrough[edit]
- This will bring you up against the next Vault Guardian: the Graveward.
- This behemoth of a foe usually starts the fight by tilting the whole arena, sloping it to the right.
- Any of the golden spots or spheres on Graveward's body can be hit for critical damage.
- Using Damage over Time effects on these spots is a great way to ensure damage.
- Turn up the slope and run to cancel some of the sliding you are dealing with.
- Quickly maneuver to land inside the pit along in the arena.
- This will stop you from sliding off the arena and falling to your death.
- There are 3 attacks that you will need to worry about.
- The first is a massive swipe across either the front or the back of the arena.
- The second is a punch attack to the right side of the arena.
- This will release radiation damage and some Frail Jabbers.
- As the arm pulls back, radiation damage will launch out as a few waves.
- The third is another punch attack on the left side of the arena.
- This punch can release a toxic spray and possibly some Toxic Baby Grog.
- These punch attacks have a colored glyph that covers a section of the arena the attack is incoming on.
- Each of the side punches will have the fist stick in the wall for a short while.
- This will expose a weak point on the arm that you can hit for critical damage.
- Another attack is when Graveward will plant both arms on the sides of the arena and then release a poison bile from its mouth.
- After having done damage to Graveward, when they tilt the arena, they will also release a volley of Toxic energy balls that will roll down the whole of the arena.
- When you have cleared 1/3 of Graveward's health, they will start to use an tri-eye beam attack.
- It will sweep up the middle of the arena.
- After that, it will start to use the eye-beam attack and sweep it along the whole of the arena.
- Watch for the flames that emerge from the pit as the wind-up.
- Reducing Graveward further, watch for the punches to change to sweep across the upper or lower sections of the arena opposed to the sides.
- Aim for the yellow glowing spots to do the most damage and keep in mind the various attacks to avoid the worst of the damage.
