Walkthrough

Be sure you have spare arrows, especially Bomb arrows to make getting the chest easier.

• This can be a tricky shrine to solve, but you can use all the runes of the Sheikah Slate.
• You can see 2 large climbable metal crates in front of you.
• Using a combination of all the runes, you will be able to form the staircase that is needed.
• Go into the pool of water in front of the metal crates.
• Start by using Cryonis on the left metal crate.
• Climb up the ice pillar and onto the crate to reach the platform on the left.
• Look into the opening ahead of you.
• There is a small Metal Crate here that you can collect using Magnesis.
• Pull the crate out of its opening in the wall so you can use it shortly.
• Drop back to ground level.
• It is time to start working with the second metal crate and creating the needed stairway to reach the Monk.

• There are a few ways to create this staircase that you will need here.
• This comes down to careful timing and using the Sheikah Runes in quick succession.
• Start by creating a second ice pillar beneath the metal crate on the right.
• Climb up the ice pillar and stand next to the metal crate.
• Pull out a Remote Bomb and set it next to the metal crate.
• Drop back down to the ground, and use Stasis on the metal crate.
• Detonate the Remote Bomb and re-select Cryonis.
• As the crate's stasis is wearing off, aim for the top right portion of the waterfall above the crate.
• Once the crate goes past it with its momentum, create a horizontal ice pillar to catch it.
• This creates most of the staircase that you need.
• Use Magnesis to lift the small metal crate.
• Place it on the far end of the right-hand metal crate to create the final step you need to reach the Monk's area.
• Cross over it to just before the platform.

• From the stairway you have created, look to the left-hand wall, above where you found the small metal crate.
• On the adjacent wall, above you, is a metal chest.
• You can use the metal crates and reverse the staircase so you can reach the metal chest with Magnesis.
• You can also use Stasis and hit the chest with some Bomb Arrows.
• This will build up momentum on the chest.
• As soon as Stasis breaks the chest will fall to the floor and you can collect the Royal Shield inside it.
