Prophet, full name Laurence "Prophet" Barnes, is the lead character of Crysis 3.
He wears the Nanosuit and thus the responsibility of taking on the Ceph and the C.E.L.L. and liberating New York falls upon him.

Prophet has starred in all three of the Crysis games.
He began his service during the Gulf Wars and continued through Operation Enduring Freedom.
Prophet was removed from service when he lashed out towards his superiors in the CIA.
The CIA asked him to kill civilians during a drug raid, and Prophet refused.
He hospitalized the advisors who gave the order, and went rogue.
Prophet was taken out of his maximum security prison early when Jacob Hargreave sent by some documents; Prophet was freed, but he had to become the willing test subject for the Nanosuit.
