“Step into the ring” is an objective in the Strike The Nexus Revisited in Destiny: Rise of Iron

Walkthrough

Go down to the bottom of the slope. There is another Vex ring. At least one member of the Fireteam needs to stand in it and trigger it. This will trigger another Wave of Taken that the team will need to fight through.

This will loose a large number of Taken Goblins and Minotaurs. Once the is down, you will encounter more Goblins. Defeat them and head on forward.
