Role/Tactics[edit]
Sylok, the Defiled is a Taken Knight Boss in the Challenge of the Elders. Sylok has a unique fire spray that lingers for close to a minute that does very heavy damage to any standing in it.
Sylok will be attacking throughout most of the battle with its Hive Boomer. Like any boomer, it can be deadly with a direct hit.
The largest concern against Sylok isn't him, but the Wizards, Thralls and Taken Thralls that appear as the reinforcements. Eliminate the Wizards quickly to ease things up on the party. Still, elimination priority should be on the nearest enemies that are coming after the team.
