Approach Kireth Vanos and talk with her. She will tell you what is going on and present at least a theory about what is going on. She will reward you for finding her. After that next quest, The Library of Dusk, will begin.

I can see Raynor from this observation wind, but he can't hear me. It must be the spell ... and I bet the spell didn't affect me because I'm not attuned to whatever catalyst control the magicka matrix.

The magicka matrix?[edit]

You know, the spell web. A pretty elegant trap, really. It think the spell's catalyst has something to with an interest in knowledge. I'd be insulted, but what can I say. I'm in this for adventure, not scholarly pursuits.
