Description

Head toward the Sector 7 Slums.

Walkthrough

• Leave Aerith's House, listening to Elmyra to wait for a while to see if Aerith simply returns from Shinra.
• Make your way through the Sector 5 Slums and exit them to the East, following the path that Cloud and Aerith took earlier and keep with it as it bends to the South.
• Look for the path leading back to the Collapsed Expressway.
• Once on it, go forward and go down the first slope in front of then then turn to the North to find a locked door that requires a key, remember it for the next chapter.
• After that, just head to the South and take the ladder upwards onto the next section of the collapsed expressway where you will encounter 3 Gorgers.
• Continue to the South after that, going down the slope and then over to the left to find a ladder leading down.
• This will bring you back to the first mechanical hand.
• Go across the lower area and then take the next ladder upwards.
• Continuing forward, the inital path is closed, but there is a narrow opening ahead to the left, just past the barriers and sandbags.
• Squeeze through it and just ahead you will see a chest with a Mega-Potion.
• From there, head over to the right and weave through the makeshift walls and head to the openings between them to find 2 Ringmaw.
• Continue forward past then and through the shattered pipe on the right or along the barriers on the left.
• On the other side these passages, you will find 3 Varghidpolis.
• Go up the nearby slope and down the other side to find another fight against more Varghidpolis and 2 Terpsicolt.
• Against the Terpsicolt, having Barret is wonderful with his long-range attacks.
• From there, follow the ramp down to the area below then head over to the crates nearby to possibly get Hi-Potion and Mako Shard.
• Continue forward and up the nearby slope to the South.
• Reaching the top of the slope, you will find a Sweeper Prototype and a Smogger wandering in the open area.
• Take a moment and junction an Elemental Materia with a Lightning Materia on a melee attacker to boost your damage.
• Mix in some spell casting with Lighting spells to do heavy damage.
• Take them out and continue to the South and use the ladder to descend.
• After that, duck under the section of collapsed expressway leading into train tracks.
• Start by going into the nearby doorway and down the corridor there to find a small room with a Heavy-Duty Bracer.
• Smash the nearby crates after that to possibly find a Moogle Medal and a Phoenix Down.
• Continue to the East to find 3 Bandits you'll need to fight.
• Pass through the small shanties set up in this train tunnel and toward the breaks along the track and the abandoned cars.
• At the first break you will find some crates that can be smash open, but also more Bandits to fight as well.
• Go over to the right and head toward the end of this collapsed section of the train tunnel.
• At the end of this collapsed section, you will find a chest with an Ether.
• Go back the other way to find more bandits to fight: Butch, Beck, Burke and a Grungy Bandit.
• Continue forward to find a chest with Orb of Gravity before you can reach a ladder leading upwards.
• At the top you will find some crates and then find more Ringmaws.
• Head for the nearby ladder and head down into the 2 Mechanical Hand Pit, and take the ladder nearby up.
• Over to the right you will find more crates to smash for Moogle Medal.
• Continuing forward, you will find refugees along the path.
• Go across the open area with them and through the smaller opening on the far side.
• Go through the rest of the wreckage to reach the Evergreen Park, where the party will meet up with Wymer.
• After that, you will gain access to an Evergreen Park Item Store and Weapon Store.
• Be sure to visit both to get a On Our Way music collectible, and get the weapon Big Bertha for Barret.
• After that, just go over to the small play structure and interact with it for the party to head down down into the tunnels leading toward the Sector 7 Slums.
