Entering the Phantom Zone in Injustice: Gods Among Us

The Phantom Zone, sometimes known as the Ghost Zone, Limbo or Hyperspace, is an interdimensional zone that operates outside of the normal space time continuum.

The only resident of the Phantom Zone is the massively powerful Aethyr. Aside from him, there is nothing in the Phantom Zone.

When in the Phantom Zone, people are projected as corporeal versions of themselves who no longer age, and who no longer require food, water or air.

Use as a Kryptonian Prison[edit]

For a period, the Phantom Zone was used as a prison by the residents of Krypton.

The idea, first proposed by Jor-El, was believed to be more humane than the society's current method of punishment.

The first criminal to be imprisoned here was Jax-Ur, a mass murderer and destroyer of Krypton's moon, wegthor.
