How to download Citadel for Mass Effect 3

Certain players, especially those on the Xbox 360, have expressed trouble and confusion when downloading Mass Effect 3's final piece of DLC, Citadel.

Indeed, the process has been somewhat needlessly complicated by Microsoft's DLC policies, which place a cap of around 2GB on any DLC released for an on-disc game.

Citadel's entirety is actually larger than the 2GB, and thus had to be split into two parts, both of which must be downloaded on the Xbox 360 in order to get the content up and running.

Here's how to install Citadel on the Xbox 360.

Instructions[edit]

Get on the Xbox LIVE marketplace and find Citadel. The first download, which players must pay 1200 Microsoft Points (or $15) for, is called 'Citadel Part 1.'

Purchase this item with your Microsoft Points and download it to your hard drive.

Once the first part has finished, search the marketplace again, this time for 'Citadel Part 2.'

Download part two of the equation. Part two should be a free download, but it will only activate if Part 1 is also installed.

With both parts of the DLC downloaded and installed, you should be good to begin Mass Effect 3's final DLC.
