The Varl are a race of horned giants in The Banner Saga.
In battle, they take up four squares instead of just one. This makes them useful tank classes, as they can block for smaller units who hide behind them.
Although they are powerful, the Varl as a whole still fear the Dredge who roam the snowy north.
