The Glider in Fortnite BR

The Glider is a special type of vehicle in Fortnite Battle Royale.

Overview

You can deploy the glider anytime after jumping off the Battle Bus, while you are Skydiving.

You can also deploy the glider mid-match after being launched from a Launch Pad.

Your Glider lets you fly slowly and with more control, as opposed to Skydiving.

Camo Glider

If you bought a founder's pack before September 21st you get an exclusive camo skin (camouflage skin) for your Glider

Umbrella

If you win a match in Battle Royale (IE you're the last man standing) you are awarded an Umbrella to replace your Glider.

Strategy Guide/Tips

  • The Glider will deploy automatically once you get close enough to the ground.
  • As long as you are not close to the ground yet, you can switch between gliding and Skydiving at any time.
  • It is best to Skydive for as long as possible, as Skydiving is faster than gliding, and it will get you to the landing point quicker.

Glider Skins

You can buy different types of Glider Skins in the Cash Shop, or the Season Shop, using V-bucks.

These can be equipped in the Locker, along with all of your other customization options.
