Preemptive Strike is a side quest in Skyrim: Dawnguard.

It is only available to the Dawnguards faction.

Starting Location

Preemptive Strike starts in Fort Dawnguard

Preemptive Strike is assigned by Gunmar.

Gunmar has sent me to (Random Location) where I am to destroy the Master Vampire before it turns its allies into vampires

Kill the Master Vampire at (Dungeon)(Dungeon chosen at random)

Radiant Dungeon chosen at random. Go to the location specified and kill the Master Vampire.^[1]

Return to Gunmar in Fort Dawnguard.
