How to unlock the Red Border Weapon drop in Destiny 2: Crota's End.

Description[edit]

By interacting with 3 Crests held by Hive statues throughout the Raid, you can have a special chest spawn that will give a guaraneted Deep Insight (Red Border) drop from it of any weapon from the raid.

Triggering the Red Border[edit]

There are 3 Statues that you need to interact with to trigger this chest.

When you start the raid,
- Set 1 - Look across the Hellmouth to the far left of the area, on the top.
- Set 2 - This pair can be found to the top right, sitting on the ledge.
- Set 3 - This pair is found toward the bottom of the Hellmouth, over to the right-hand side
For each of the pairs will have a Statue that has a lit statue.
Make note if the statue is the left-hand statue or the right-hand statue.
When you activate the statues, if done properly, you will get the message "A balance is reached. To the victor go the final spoils"
When you activate the statues, if you activate the wrong statue, you will get the message, "An irredeemable mistake..."

Hive Statue 1[edit]

The first pair of Hive Statues are found at the start of the Bridge encounter.
There are two rooms that are found in the bottom left and right of the arena.
Each of them has a Blue Lit Pillar in the middle of the room.
To trigger the Red Border, you will need to activate the statue that corresponds to the one you saw lit (the pair sitting on the rise above the Hellmouth).

Hive Statue 2[edit]

This pair is located on the far side of the Bridge encounter, before progressing into the Thrallway.
If you had to the ends of the far end of the bridge, you will find rooms with the Statues.
Once again, activate the statue that corresponds to the second set of statues you saw (on the balcony ledge just over the Hellmouth).

Hive Statue 3[edit]

This final pair is found after you have defeated the Deathsinger, before you start the encounter with Crota.
These statues are found just outside the top central chamber, just outside of the chamber to the left or right.
Once again, activate the one that corresponds to the third pair of statues (the ones inside the Hellmouth).
This one orients with the Guardian FACING the oversoul itself.
