Obtain the Quest from Shaw Han

Defeat Foes of the Traveler

“The schematic requires recorded combat data to refactor.”

This is the first step of the quest once you get it from Shaw Han in the Cosmodrome. You will need to go around any patrol area and defeat foes. This can be done within the Cosmodrome or anywhere else. You need to earn 100 points. Points are earned based on the difficulty of the foe.

Defeat combatants using your abilities or Super

“Combat data centering on subclass abilities and Supers is required for further refactoring.”

This second step has the Guardian needing to defeat a LOT of enemies focused on using their Melee, Grenade, or Super Abilities. There are builds that make it very simple

Complete “A Guardian Rises”

This step has you complete the mission: “A Guardian Rises.” This is a short mission, taking about 10 minutes to run.

Speak to Banshee-44

“The schematic is finished processing the data it collected; bring it to Banshee-44 in the Tower Courtyard.”

It’s time to return to the Tower. Go there and head over to Banshee-44. He will comment on Arbalest. After that, he will tell you to go collect telemetry data so he can make the final adjustments.

Collect Fusion Rifle Data

“The schematic now requires weapon data.”

This step requires getting 150 points of telemetry. You will get a few points for defeating enemies. You get more points for defeating Guardians (in Crucible or Gambit). Runs strikes, dungeons, patrols with a focus on using both kinds of Fusion Rifle. It’s possible to have a Fusion Rifle in the Primary, Energy and Power weapon slot. Using a good mix will make it very simple to charge through this step.

Speak to Banshee-44

The final step of this quest is simple: Return to Banshee-44. Go back to the Tower. Head back to Banshee-44 at this stall and talk with him. He will reward you with the Arbalet Linear Fusion Rifle.

• Composite Stock:
  • This weapon has a versatile dual-purpose stock: Slightly increases stability, slightly increases handling speed.
  • Stability: +5, Handling: +5

Arbalest Catalyst

The Arbalest Catalyst can be obtained 2 ways:

1. Purchased from Xur Friday-Monday
2. Obtained by random drop through Playlist Activities

Completing the Catalyst is a simple affair. You need to defeat enemies with the Arbalest.

Effects of the Catalyst

• Handling: +20
• Increase Magazine Size: +1
• Genesis:
  • Breaking a Combatant’s shield with this weapon fills its magazine from reserves. Energy weapons regenerate ammo on hit when matching the damage type to the combatant’s shield.
