Summary

Mayor Reede is trying to shore up support from the town. He remembers a dish his grandfather made with someone else, Koyin’s Grandfather. He thinks this mysterious cheesy dish could put Hateno Village on the Map for more than fashion.

Description

Reede wants to make the food that his grandfather created with another villager into a new village staple. However, all he remembers about it is its creamy, melty mouthfeel and its unique, pungent armoa.

Reede thinks smelling that aroma against might jog his memory.

Walkthrough

Talk to Reede

Inside Hateno Village, you will need to find and talk with Reede. He is commonly found in his house, next door to the local Inn. He’s worried about how to get more support with the upcoming election.

Talking with Reede, he will say that he wants to recreate a dish from his past but he doesn’t know the recipe. He just knows that it had a “creamy, melty texture.” To this end, he will ask you to go visit Hateno Pasture, the local farm just up the road.

Help Koyin

To help Reede, you will need to complete the side quest, “A Letter for Koyin.” Before completing this quest, she can be found at the dock for Lake Sumac. After “A Letter for Koyin” is completed, then she can be found inside the house, surrounded by Hateno Cheese. Either way, you will want to get a piece of Hateno Cheese.

Give the Cheese to Reede

Return to Reede’s House next to the Inn. Go inside and talk with him again. He’ll recognize the smell of the cheese that Link has. Agree to hand it over to complete the quest.
