Hunt the terrifying Uderfrykte Matron hidden in Oblivion Remastered’s icy Jerall Mountains and claim the Frostwyrm Bow.
The Location of Dive Rock
Making your way into the Northeastern heights of the Jerall Mountains, you can find this location. It takes a lot of jumping if you want to . This is the start of an unmarked, non-journal quest commonly called "The Horror of Dive Rock."
Go to the ledge of Dive Rock itself and the Hero of Kvatch will take note of Fanacas, Kingscrest Cavern, and Quickwater Cave; you haven't found them already. After that, head to the camp fire nearby the tent. Look around the fire to find Agnar's Journal.
Reading Agnar's Journal you'll learn about the Uderfrykte Matron as well as Angar the Unwavering and Svenja Snow-Song.
Once you have learn Svenja's obsession with the Uderfrykte Matron, you can properly hunt it (The Uderfrykte Matron is already spawned into the world, but you have the context to find it). So let's get started with just that.
Hunting for the Uderfrykte Matron
Turn to the Southeast and move along the mountain a bit. After that, turn to the East when you hit the ridges. Keep going to the East, sweeping the mountainside. You are looking for the mostly transparent Uderfrykte Matron. If you're careful, you can easily sneak up on it and get it with a backstab or other sneak attack approach. Fight it, if needed, after that. Or just head on if that's your preferred approach). Be absolutely certain to loot the translucent body. This will give the Hero a unique bow they can't get anywhere else:
The main reason for going after this unmarked quest is simple: The Frostwyrm Bow. It will have an enhancement on that that always done 15 points of Frost Damage. This doesn't change regardless of your level when you get the bow.
