Siege Warfare

Overview[edit]

  • Any guild and player can join a Node War and Siege War, regardless of guild size, equipment, or spec.
  • Most areas in the game are part of Nodes.
  • In Node Wars, you try to gain ownership of the Nodes.
  • This lets you receive part of the worldwide tax collection to fund your guild bank.
  • Siege War (also known as "Conquest War"), is a lot bigger than a node war in scale. Instead of fighting for a single node, you battle for the sovereignty of a vast continent (Territory)
  • Each territory is comprised of a number of Nodes.
  • If a guild occupies Territory A, that means the guild has gained the honor of ruling A.

Tutorial[edit]

Build a Fort at the node that you‘d like to fight for

The first thing you need to have is:

  • A guild with at least 10 people online
  • A fully built fort in the node area you‘d like to fight for
  • Annexes to support your fort

Warfare for each region takes place in the #1 channel named after that region.

Once the war commenced, you'll need to detect your enemy in the node area!

  • Send characters to scout the surrounding area to detect enemy forts.
  • Setup your strategy. Remember, your fort has to be the last one standing!
  • Defending is as crucial as attacking; strategy & teamwork are the keys to success.

As soon as the war begins, your team has to manually detect the forts of your enemies in the environment first to mark them on the map. Once you found them, you need to destroy them with your team. The last fort standing occupies that node for a week and reaps all the benefits!

Defending

Knowing your opponent's location is one key to the success, but be aware of attackers! You will have to defend your fort while you're attacking other forts.

Attacking

Dealing damage is crucial in Node/Siege Warfare.

Siege War

Siege War follows the same concept as node war, but instead of fighting for a node area, this is a global war that takes places in the whole region.

Siege takes place only on Saturdays from 20:00 - 23:00 (CEST for EU/ EDT for NA)

Your guild needs to occupy a level 2 or 3 node to be able to participate. The other main difference is, that in Calpheon, Mediah and Valencia you can actually attack a Castle and conquer it.

In Balenos and Serendia, the two regions that don't own a castle, the rule applies of "last fort standing".

You also need to make sure that you are in the designated channel. They will take place in channel #1 with the same region name as the region you want to fight for.

  • Build a Fort
  • Purchase Defensive Units
  • Defend
  • Attack
  • Conquer a castle
  • Own region for 1 week.

Building a Node Fort[edit]

  • Two important concepts are "day" and "level".
  • "Day" is the day when the battle breaks out in each node. For example, if there are nodes A, B, and C, the battle will commence on Mondays for A, Tuesdays for B, and Wednesdays for C. There are a myriad of nodes that have the node war scheduled for every Monday. If you want to participate in the Node War on Monday, you can choose a node whose battle is scheduled for that day, like Node A.
  • "Level" is the level of the node. All nodes are classified as a level from 1 to 3.
  • The higher the node level is, the higher the tax,
  • Tip: If you have a small guild, aim for the Level. 1 nodes. Aim for level 1 and 2 for medium sized guilds, and level for big guilds with a lot of combat experience.
  • There are two ways to choose the region before the Node War. You have to check on what day of the week you can gather the most of your guild members. Node War is scheduled on different days for each node, so be sure to pick a day that suits your guild's needs. You also have to see how much profit you can make.
  • Node Wars take place in Balenos and Serendia every day. There are not too many Lv. 3 nodes, but there is a healthy mix of Lv. 1 and 2 nodes. Players will also have a better geographic understanding of this area that includes Olvia, Velia, and Heidel, which are like a"hometown" for many players, but that does not mean the competition will be easy. Whichever node you choose, you will have to prepare for it thoroughly.

Whichever node you choose, you will have to prepare for it thoroughly.
  • You will need to prepare even more thoroughly for the battles in Calpheon, Mediah, and Valencia, especially so for Valencia, since it is so far away gathering guild members to this region might be a challenge. The majority of the areas in Calpheon, Mediah, and Valencia have rough terrain. It is imperative that you move early to occupy more advantageous nodes, and it will be a tremendous help if one of your guild members is knowledgeable about the topography of the area.

Node War Regions[edit]

  • The important thing here is the understanding of the “Node War Regions.” All Node Wars proceed within a certain area, and this area is called the “Node War Area.” For example, if you took part in the node war of Cron Castle in Balenos, the node war will proceed in the eastern battle area of Velia where the Cron Castle Node belongs. You can battle the participants from other guilds in all areas, but always remember that in order to win, you have to destroy the enemy’s fortress in the battle area.
  • Open the world map in the upper right corner and click on the Node War Info to switch to the Node War native mode. Click the node at this point to activate the node war area and the area where you can install the fort. It is important to understand the nodes well when you click through them, and if you are a guild master, you also have to consider the guild members’ understanding of the topography and other factors related to the Node War.

  • If you click Alejandro Farm in this state, you can check the Node War Area of the selected node. Build a fortress within the activated area to enjoy Node War on a designated day.
