A new type of enemy created specifically for Dead Space 3.
The Mummified Necromorph is exactly as it sounds; it is a mummified corpse infected with the Necromorph Virus, reanimating it into a living Necromorph.
Found In[edit]
These enemies are first found in the Flotilla level of Act 1.
They were created when the Necromorphs invaded the Flotilla and found the mummified corpses from Tau Volantis inside of the ship, which the research crew happened to be studying at the time.
When the Necromorphs attached to the mummified bodies, they were reanimated and driven by a lust for blood.
Their hollow eyes shine yellow through crumbling rags, making them a haunting sight to stumble upon in the dark.
Attack Patterns[edit]
These enemies are very melee driven, and will try to close the gap between themselves and Isaac or John as quickly as they possibly can.
When up close, the creatures use their arms and their mummified mouths to deal small to medium amounts of damage.
Strategy[edit]
The best way to kill a Mummified Necromorph is to shoot off its legs.
This will not only slow the creature's advance, but also deal significant damage or kill the beast outright.
