Pavel is a soldier for the Red Line, the Communist branch of the Metro.
He is a loyal soldier for the Communists, and believes wholeheartedly in his cause.
Meeting With Artyom[edit]
Pavel meets Artyom in a Reich prison cell, where they are both being held captive.
After killing the Reich soldiers in the cell, Pavel discovers a garbage chute that leads underground, where the pair make their escape.
Capture and Escape[edit]
Pavel is captured by Reich soldiers as he and Artyom attempt to escape. He is sentenced to be hanged.
As Artyom is leaving the base, he stumbles upon Pavel's hanging and frees him in the nick of time.
