Quest
Background
Sturges told me about a T-45 Power Armor near the Crashed Vertibird on the roof of the Museum.
I will need a Fusion Core to activate the armor, but the Fusion Core is locked behind a Security Gate in the basement.

Walkthrough
You can open the Security Gate in one of two ways:
- Lockpicking: Pick the gate's lock.
- Hacking: Hack the terminal near the gate.
How to Lockpick
- You need a Bobby Pin in order to attempt to pick the lock.
- The goal is to find the right position for the Bobby Pin.
- Start by choosing a position at random.
- Once you've chosen a position for the Bobby Pin, carefully rotate the Screwdriver.
- If you encounter resistance right from the start, it means the Bobby Pin is far from the correct position. Rotate it to a different position.
- If you can rotate the screwdriver, then you are getting close. Keep moving the Bobby Pin in the same direction until less and less resistance is encountered. Once the Bobby Pin is in the right position, you can rotate the screw driver fully and the lock will open.
- The Bobby Pin might break if not in the right position and you rotate the screw driver too much.
How to Hack
- You will see a lot of garbled text on the terminal, but there also will be some real words.
- One of the words you see is the password
- Start by choosing one of the words.
- The terminal will display the "Likeness" rating for that word. Likeness is a number that means how many letters are correct and in the same position.
- For example, if you choose the word "AGENT" and get a likeness of 0, than don't choose the word "APPLE" as the next guess, since both start with the letter "A" meaning "AGENT" would've gotten a Likeness of "1" if "APPLE" was the password"
- For example, if you chose the word "VAULT" and got a likeness of "2", a good guess for the next password would be "SAUCE" or "CRUST", since both those words have two letters in the same position as "VAULT". "SAUCE" is AU in positions 2 and 3, while CRUST is U and T in positions 3 and 5.
- Keep guessing until you find the correct passwords.
- If you guess the wrong password too many times ("Attempts Remaining") you will get locked out of the terminal for a certain amount of time (for example, 10 seconds) and then will have to start over with a new set of words.
Strategy Guide/Tips
- If you don't have a Bobby Pin, there are some above the Terminal.
- This gate is a good way to learn how lockpicking works and how hacking works in Fallout 4.
