As the sun sets, Link approaches the Ke Numut Shrine in LoZ: BotW. In that Shrine, link will complete a Trial and learn the Cryonis Rune Ability.

Shrines are a type of Dungeon Link can explore.
They will generally have a puzzle Link needs to solve in order to get to the end.
There are four trial shrines that grant Link special Rune abilities.
See table below on where to get every Rune.

Shrines vs Dungeons[edit]
- There are over 100 shrines in the game. 120, to be precise.
- Shrines are not the same as Dungeons. They are supplementary to dungeons.
- There are actual dungeons, too.
