"Ask the Nilfgaardians about Yennefer" is a quest objective in the main story quest "Lilac and Gooseberries" in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

You spoke to Gaunter O'Dim at the local tavern.
Gaunter told you that Yennefer was seen at the Nilfgaardian Garrison a couple of days ago.
You should head there and check with the Nilfgaardian Army to see if they know where she might be.

Leave the Tavern
You will have a fistfight with some thugs outside
After you win, head northwest from the Village and arrive at the Nilfgaardian Garrison
Talk to the Nilfgaardian Soldiers at the gate and they will grant you passage
Enter the camp and head to the tower
Inside, you will find Captain Peter Saar Gwynleve talking to the village's Ealdorman
Then, Captain Peter will talk to you and ask that you slay the Griffin in exchange for information on Yennefer

- The Quartermaster near the tower can sell you some swords or repair your items or craft items for you.
Lilac and Gooseberries Quest[edit]
- Kill the ghouls
- Follow Vesemir
- Go to the Tavern in White Orchard
- Ask travelers about Yennefer
- Ask the Nilfgaardians about Yennefer
- Complete the griffin contract
- Prepare to leave White Orchard with Vesemir
